“The bottom line is this is a period in which we are educating folks, we are answering questions, we are going to businesses, we want them to start applying it, but we’re not penalizing them,” de Blasio said. “We are telling businesses, starting tomorrow, apply this rule, if you have any questions or concerns, reach out to the city and we will work with you.”
“But there are not going to be any penalties until the week of September 13th,” de Blasio added.
“A lot of businesses wanted to do this and started to do it even last week,” he continued. “Because they have that right as a business to make their own standards.”
That is interesting that the mayor acknowledges that businesses have “the right to make their own standards” in one breath, while explaining that he is forcing them to implement vaccine passports in the next. Mayor de Blasio is thus admitting that he is violating Americans’ rights, but simply does not care.
Here is the list of things that Mayor de Blasio will be taking away from citizens unless they give in to the socialist mayor’s blackmail:

If a once-free citizen wants to enjoy indoor entertainment, he or she will need to comply with the vaccine mandate for access to movie theaters, live music, concert venues, aquariums and zoos, professional sports arenas, stadiums convention centers, exhibition halls, performance arts centers, bowling alleys, arcades, pool and billiard halls, recreational game centers, casinos and adult entertainment.
Furthermore, if he or she wants to enjoy indoor dining, he or she will need to show proof of vaccination for restaurants, catering halls, event spaces, hotel banquet rooms, bars, cabarets, nightclubs, cafeterias, grovery stores with indoor dining, bakeries, coffee shops, and fast food services with indoor dining.
If a once-free citizen wants to access indoor fitness, such as gyms, fitness centers, fitness classes, pools, indoor studios, and dance studios, then he or she will have to show their state compliance card/internal passport.
“New York has two different electronic verification methods, along with the paper card given by the CDC,” the Hill noted. “Individual colleges and universities have developed their own systems. The federal government is using an online ‘certificate of vaccination,’ and some restaurants in Washington, D.C., are now asking to see customers’ physical vaccine cards.”
Once again, it should be noted that the timing of such measures is extremely suspect. The Delta variant of COVID is far less deadly than the Alpha variant, as is born out in publicly available data and in NIH studies. While ‘cases’ have skyrocketed, the mortality rates have remained relatively flat. This is spreading further natural immunity, which is estimated to be between 100 million and 135 million Americans.
In addition, young Americans are not statistically at risk: 98.4% of all fatalities were over age 40. Also, 99.8% of fatalities are over age 30, and 99.99% are over age 18. If you factor in that 94% of all deaths with COVID have serious underlying health factors, then you are left with even a small fraction of the risk for healthy adults. Simply put, this is irrational, unjustifiable tyranny.
It should also be noted that the CDC recently admitted that fully vaccinated Americans can spread the Delta variant. Therefore, the vaccines are not a public health issue, but a matter of personal health risk that should be between an individual patient and doctor.
It was once said by Benjamin Franklin that, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
The COVID pandemic is being used as a smokescreen to implement authoritarian measures that violate Americans’ basic civil rights. There should never be a time that an American citizen should need an identification card in order to exercise basic rights, such as freedom of travel, freedom of association, and freedom to work. Americans who ‘give up’ their rights for the illusion of security may simply never get them back.
