Trump’s former President is back in Nevada ahead of the high-stakes midterm elections. His goal is to boost Republican U.S. Senate nominee Adam Laxalt, and gubernatorial hopeful Joe Lombardo.
The 45th president will address a rally in Minden-Tahoe Airport (Minden, Nevada) on Oct. 8. He will also give remarks in support for his endorsed candidate candidates. Trump endorsed Lombardo (April 2022) and Laxalt (August 2021), calling them conservative fighters fighting in a swing state against the infiltration from far-left ideologies. With just 35 days until the midterm elections, Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), a former Nevada Attorney general, is in a narrow lead. Clark County Sheriff Lombardo will be challenging Gov. Steve Sisolak (D).
This is the latest of a number of Trump-led rallies across the country, which are intended to support strong GOP candidate who could change the balance of power after a disastrous period of one-party Democrat rule. Trump will attend the Nevada rally to support Blake Masters, U.S. Senate nominee, and Kari Lake, gubernatorial contender. These rallies follow one in Michigan for Tudor Dixon, U.S. Senate candidates in North Carolina, and one in Michigan for Ted Budd (R.NC).
Trump-backed candidate performed very well in the primaries — 163-10 statewide, federal races as per August 2022 — consolidating the former president’s “king-maker” status, Breitbart reported previously. Trump’s endorsement power will be tested again in the general elections, where GOP candidates will face off against Biden-style far-left candidates, and incumbents trying to keep control.
