Domino, commonly referred to as dominoes or bones, is a rectangular block featuring inlaid pips for gaming purposes. A domino can be played solo or with multiple players and each has their own set of dominoes that must be played in sequence for winning the game – players can use dominoes for many unique games!
The game of dominoes dates back to ancient China and Egypt, where an example was found in a tomb near Thebes made of ivory or bone. Nowadays, dominoes can be found in many shapes and sizes and are frequently used for various table games including domino poker (a variant of Texas hold’em) as well as educational environments where children use them to develop basic math skills and patterns.
Once a domino has been placed down on a flat surface, successive pieces are added one at a time until its structure is completed. When all dominoes have fallen over one another, all remaining dominoes can be pushed over its original piece to start an irreversible chain reaction and end with all dominoes falling at once – an ancient game enjoyed worldwide. Due to its popularity this game has led to many variations and strategies for winning!
Once a chain of dominoes has been created, their remaining pieces must be placed correctly so as to achieve the desired cascade effect. Dominoes provide an ideal example of this concept since any mistake can cause the whole set to crumble into dust on the ground. A similarly effective storyteller must arrange all key elements within his or her plot in such a way as to ensure an logical sequence occurs throughout their narrative.
Domino is an experienced mercenary. She first joined the Six Pack as Milo Thurman’s bodyguard before later teaming up with time-traveler Cable. When Domino became possessed by Undying alien Aentaeros and ordered to kill Semijan mutant, Cable intervened and freed her. Later she rejoined X-Force but left when Pete Wisdom attempted to transform them into proactive black ops units; she later helped assassin Corben as he attempted to strike revenge against the CIA.
Domino is known to generate what are known as “Domino effects.” She generates an invisible aura which alters probabilities, giving her “good fortune” while giving others misfortune – such as having their equipment malfunction, or hitting just the right button to shut down a machine. Domino can consciously tap into this power when she feels threatened.
