President Joe Biden was very unpresidential in his handling of an unscripted question from CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins on Wednesday. Her offense? Asking a tough question about his meeting with Vladimir Putin.

“Why are you so confident [Putin] will change his behavior, Mr. President?” she asked.

“I’m not confident I’m going to change his behavior. What the hell? What do you do all the time? When did I say I was confident? I said….let’s get it straight….” Biden snapped.

Kaitlan Collins continued to press Biden about his failure to hold Russian president accountable for any of his behavior. Biden responded with a sassy remark about the contents of the meeting.

“If you don’t understand that, you’re in the wrong business,” he remarked. Later, he issued an embarrassing apology.

NOW – Biden apologizes to the press for having been “such a wise guy” earlier before departing

The apology to Collins was confirmed by CNN reporters.

Before boarding Air Force One, Biden apologized to our @kaitlancollins for snapping at her. “I owe my last questioner an apology. I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy with the last answer I gave,” he said, referring to his “where the hell” did you hear me say I was confident?

Biden tells reporters on the tarmac in Geneva he shouldn’t have been as short with CNN’s @kaitlancollins when she asked why he was confident Putin would change his behavior. “I owe my last questioner an apology. I shouldn’t have been such a wiseguy with the last answer I gave.”

Biden has been highly unstable during his first foreign trip. He has complained to reporters.

“You never ask a positive question,” Biden gripes to press corps on tarmac in Geneva

And he has groveled before them.

Biden just now to reporters: You’re the brightest people in the country.

Trump didn’t say that.

The apology is yet another humiliation for a president that has had his share of embarrassments on his first foreign trip. At his meeting with Putin, he actually brought *flashcards.*

Pathetic: Joe Biden brings *flashcards* to meeting with Putin.🔻

This is unlike Putin’s meeting with Trump, where it was the Russian leader who had the notes.

Guess who brought flash cards to the Trump-Putin meeting?

Then Putin and Biden headed off for separate meetings, unlike the Russian president’s former meetings with Trump, which was a joint press conference.

“Biden will be able to deliver his own message to reporters about the talks without the pressure of speaking alongside an adversary,” CNN reporter. “Instead of potentially facing the press with dueling messages about US-Russia relations, Biden and Putin will hold solo press conferences following the summit.”

The U.S. has never looked more weak in light of its Russian adversary.
